Paraphrase the Sentences
Your challenge is to paraphrase each sentence. Keep the original meaning, but change the way the sentence is structured or expressed.

Paraphrased: In my opinion, working from home is a better option.
Your Turn:
- Online shopping is convenient.
- Everyone should exercise
- Learning another language is important.
- Artificial intelligence will change education.
- Reading books is relaxing.
Sentence Architect
Build a stronger sentence.
Start with the sentence:
Reading regularly is useful.
Now expand it by adding:
Reason → Example → Contrast → Final detail
Example:
Reading regularly is useful because it helps people develop their vocabulary. For example, reading different types of texts exposes us to new words and expressions. However, simply reading without paying attention to unfamiliar language may not be enough. As a result, regular reading combined with active vocabulary practice can be especially effective.
Your turn:
Challenge: Build one longer, well-organised response for each sentence using the four steps above.
- Learning a language takes practice.
- Good communication requires listening.
- Exercise can improve concentration.
Which One Sounds Better?
Read the following sentences, choose the one that sounds more natural, and explain why.
A. I enjoy to travel because I can see many places.
B. I enjoy travelling because I get to experience different cultures.
⸻
A. I have worked here since three years.
B. I have worked here for three years.
⸻
A. Although it was raining, we went hiking.
B. Although it was raining, but we went hiking.
Now create your own example sentences using the three correct patterns above.
